This meetup will focus on the process of playing with the use of light natural and artificial along with additional accessories needed or suggested for light. This workshop will be open to photographers of all levels however it will provide value to entry-level photographers the most as it will focus on the process of light painting along with additional accessories needed or suggested. We'll start out with a simple light source and then we'll slowly move up to multiple sources along with exposing your subject

This meet-up will explore how we can take beautiful portraits using natural light and backgrounds. We will explore how to recognise flattering light and how to manipulate it whilst shooting in a less controlled environment than a studio. We will explore how we can work collaboratively with our subject to achieve a portrait that captures their personality and style. We will also look at posing and setting your subject at ease. Technical learning points will include accurate focusing and metering for skin tones.
